A manual of antisemitism “for the use of heads of State”

According to Le Canard enchaîné, a manual written by the late Mgr Lefebvre, denouncing “the financial and political domination of the Jew,” proposes a theocratic political system, with the abolition of freedom of worship and of conscience. This work is said to be widely circulated in Africa, where it is reported to find an echo among heads of State.

The Affair

We cannot, in a humanist association, fail to speak of the Touvier affair. That the Court of Cassation has partially overturned the dismissal ruling is in itself a good thing; but it is not only this man whom justice must condemn for crimes against humanity — it is also the Vichy regime as a whole. Thanks to the historians, we now have enough proof of the full culpability of that regime and of the French State of that era for judicial action to be initiated as swiftly as possible. It is not a wreath of flowers, nor two survivors, that will make the difference between a man’s conduct before and after the war.
