Philippe Velilla
Born in Paris in 1955, Philippe Velilla holds a doctorate in law and has served as a senior civil servant at the French Ministry of the Economy, including a posting to the European Union in Brussels (1990–1994). He teaches at the Université numérique européenne des études juives and contributes regularly to i24NEWS, the Times of Israël, and the Revue politique et parlementaire. A specialist on European Union–Israel relations and on the place of minorities in politics, his books include Les Relations entre l'Union européenne et Israël (European Union–Israel Relations) (L'Harmattan, 2003) and Les Juifs et la droite (The Jews and the Right) (Pascal, 2010).
