Olivier Revault d'Allonnes
A French philosopher and aesthetician (1923–2009), Olivier Revault d'Allonnes taught at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. A great-grandson of Ernest Renan and an agrégé in philosophy (1948), he played a major role in the French reception of the Frankfurt School and the work of Theodor Adorno. He edited the Revue d'esthétique and, with Mikel Dufrenne, co-edited the "Esthétique" series at the publisher 10/18.
