Ilan Greilsammer

Born in Paris in 1948, Ilan Greilsammer is a political scientist. He emigrated to Israel in 1972 and is professor of political science at Bar-Ilan University, where he directs the European Research Center. A leading figure in the Shalom Akhshav (Peace Now) movement, he has published Les Communistes israéliens (The Israeli Communists; Presses de Sciences Po, 1978), Israël, les hommes en noir (Israel, the Men in Black; Presses de Sciences Po, 1991), Blum (Flammarion, 1996), La Nouvelle histoire d'Israël (The New History of Israel; Gallimard, 1998), and Repenser Israël (Rethinking Israel; Autrement, 2008).
