Gilberte Finkel

An Israeli feminist activist and essayist, Gilberte Finkel was a member of the Tzena U'rena collective in the 1980s and, in 1981, wrote the first study devoted to the new Israeli feminist movement (a master's thesis at Université Paris VII). A member of the Meretz party and a contributor to the Adva Center, she writes regularly on the condition of women in Israel and on the Israeli left.
