Gérard Haddad is a physician, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. He has written widely, particularly on psychoanalysis, and is the French translator and earliest champion of Yeshayahu Leibowitz. Recent books include Dans la main droite de Dieu : Psychanalyse du fanatisme (In the Right Hand of God: A Psychoanalysis of Fanaticism, Premier Parallèle, 2015) and Le complexe de Caïn : terrorisme, haine de l'autre et rivalité fraternelle (The Cain Complex: Terrorism, Hatred of the Other, and Fraternal Rivalry, Premier Parallèle, 2017).
