Claude Klein was a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he directed the Institute of Comparative Law and served as dean of two law schools. He served as advisor to the Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee. He is the author of numerous works on Israel's legal system, including La démocratie d'Israël (Seuil, 1997) and Le Cas Eichmann, vu de Jérusalem (Gallimard, 2012).
