Annie Goldmann
A Franco-Tunisian sociologist (1931–2020), Annie Goldmann spent her entire career at the EHESS, in the "Cinema and History" centre directed by Marc Ferro. A specialist in the sociology of cinema, she later extended her work to the place of women in literature and then to Jewish history and culture. Her books include Cinéma et société moderne (Cinema and Modern Society; Denoël, 1971), Les Filles de Mardochée (The Daughters of Mordecai; Denoël, 1979), Rêves d'amour perdus (Lost Dreams of Love; Denoël, 1984) and Le Judaïsme au féminin (Judaism in the Feminine; Balland, 1989).
